Kathy Reed is a native of Georgia and has deep roots in East Tennessee. She is a member of the popular Atlanta-based acoustic trio, Lonesome Redwing, and is a singer, songwriter, and plays bass and guitar.

A frequent performer, she and her band have opened for many legendary performers, including Tony Rice, Peter Rowan, Claire Lynch & Patty Loveless. She is a member of the Nashville Songwriter's Association and Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI). Kathy has had numerous songs published and recorded, and several songs recorded by other artists.
